Which Towing Module do I order?

If your trailer (or caravan or horse float) has REVERSING LIGHTS, then please order the TA200-R Towing Module as it contains 5 switching circuits (LHS Indicator, RHS Indicator, Tail Light, Brake Light & Reversing Light).

If you are NOT installing REVERSING LIGHTS on your trailer (or caravan or horse float) & you can clearly see that the brake light and the tail light on your VEHICLE are separate (ie different filaments are used) then order the
TA200 as it is less expensive. You can still install the TA200 to vehicles that that operate a single filament (for the brake light & tail light), however you will need to access the high mount central brake light wiring (which can add to the installation time).

During the ordering process we will ask you for the details of your vehicle.

Order the TA300 if you are NOT installing REVERSING LIGHTS and it appears that the tail light & brake light on your VEHICLE emenates from the same single light source (ie the one light glows dully when the tail light is turned on & brightly when the brakes are operated). This is because your vehicle most likely runs PWM (pulse width modulation) to the combined tail light/brake light. The TA300 contains specialised electronics for PWM operation which operates most (but not all vehicles). If the PWM is detected satisfactorily by the TA300 then you will not need to access the high mount central brake light (which speeds up installation time). The TA300 can still be satisfactorily installed on vehicles where the PWM is not correctly identified, however access to the high mount central brake light will be required. We have been "fine tuning" the PWM detection & can say that it works on "most" vehicles.

During the ordering process we will ask you for the details of your vehicle.
